Does anyone agree with me that Nellie's shoes kind of are not maade that well. She cannot stand properly in high heals. They should made been made low so Nellie can stand up. Dont get me wrong they adorable. Thats the only down fall. Does anyone else agree with me.

I have them, but haven't put them on a doll yet. They remind me of Sam's lawn party dress shoes, and those work fine. I usually use a doll stand, though.

I dont put them on her and try to stand Nellie with out the stand and she falls right down. She needs to be standing a certain way to actually stand up.

Molly's patent Mary Janes and the shoes from the Starflower outfit are the same way. Unless the bottom of the shoe is TOTALLY flat, the doll will not stand up. But since the shoes are not designed for a collector doll, but for a little girl to play with, there's nothing wrong with them IMO.

My Nellie is wearing them now. I did have some problems with her standing, but if I place her in a certain way, she does stand!!! I liked the shoes, but the heels are too high, even for an American Girl.

I am hoping to find time to change my dolls out of their Christmas clothing today. I'll try the shoes on Sam. I sure hope they work out.

I would have been more dissapointed had they NOT been heels.. they are soo authentic to her time period.. I love them and like Jenny, I use stands to stand my dolls on.
